Update #3 (Alpha Release)


The date is March 1st, 2022, and we have just finished an extraordinarily scuffed alpha release presentation as our project is far too bloated to be able to upload onto itch.io. Nevertheless, we have made good progress on the project with notable additions to player/camera movement, level design, UI, and Scene Transitions. The OCADU team has also provided us with some assets to use for our player, and Le Shen has provided us with an extremely fitting BGM and other sound FX! Moving forward we will focus on the feedback we were given, putting an emphasis on solidifying our storyboard for the game and also choosing a final direction to go with in terms of making the game more fun and replay-able (most likely through adding a score system to have a competitive element in our game). We are very proud of what we have created given that our dev team size was essentially halved and we had to learn from scratch, and we are looking forward to the next milestone!

Xuyan Ding(Kevin): Updated the shooting level and created the parkour level. Worked with Jia on UI and integrated animations from Shannen into Unity.

Javan Graham: Worked on the core code logic behind typing mechanics and populated shooting and parkour level.

Jia Zhao: Worked on the scene transitions, game UI and integrated music from Le into Unity.

Art:

Shannen Guntoro: Worked on updated character models and animations.

Anantha: Worked on arts and models for the kitchen part of the tutorial level.

YunTing He: Worked on the comic for cut scenes and the concept art for the last level.
